as i aimlessly scroll through end of the year posts on instagram, i came across a few ins/outs lists, including tracee ellis ross and tessa thompson. while pondering what belonged on my list, i decided to include traits and practices that i’d like to incorporate into my life or openly suggest to others.
what’s so compelling about an ins/outs list? perhaps it’s the raw nature of posting a screenshot on your notes app. maybe it’s just a trend contributing to the “make instagram casual again” movement. either way, i’m easily influenced, so i’m moved to reinvent myself for the new year by embracing bliss and reviving old hobbies.
what are my ins consisted of? developing more hobbies, getting in touch with my teenage self, documenting more memories, and attempting to use letterboxd frequently. my outs? exceeding screen time, feeling embarrassed to vlog, and making excuses.
